MOLLIE R. WEST

DETECTIVE COMISSION
This was the most fun to make! With the research given to me, I photoshopped a document to work for our show! I took the photo of the actor taken for makeup to give it an extra personal touch.
CHECK BOOK WITH STUB

The designer asked for a checkbook that was perforated on one side with a receipt to fill out the information on. I took upon the challenge and used research images to come across the look of the checkbook. I tested out my idea with slip cardboard to create the backing, then made the show prop out of leather and made it look bound on one side.

SUGAR BOWL
We had these silver sugar bowls down in storage that had gotten dirty and the tops broke off the lids. I grabbed one, shined it, and added a silent bell to the top of the lid to repair it. It looked like the perfect topping from the audience!

GUIDEBOOK TO INDIA
The designer gave me creative freedom on this prop, so I create a cover for our guidebook. It was loosely inspired by our research on Bradshaw handbooks and other historical research.

Rolls of Money
Created using historical research on the design of bills and bankroll papers. Then I used a real address of a bank in London and in San Fransisco that they would have possibly stopped at. We chose to use more rolls than stacks because they did receive as much damage.
